The work of Georgia Hill, Australian typographer and illustrator working from Sidney. Her practice has developed from an initial fascination with art to what is now a consuming passion for custom and experimental typography. Working in a range of mediums, her focus is not necessarily on typefaces and trends but rather on generating truly creative, high impact visuals for branding, installations, animations, murals and exhibitions. Some of them seem maybe strange but we think they are revolutionary and new. It’s sometimes the situationism in her works that says now is near.
Is the name of the new project of Pokras Lampas calligrapher and designer from Moscow, Russia. Pokras is famous for his calligraphy on beautiful naked female bodies. This time he took let the body art float into a mural, looking like angel wings. Photographer Igor Koshelev and of course the sponsors Molotow and Sullen, made this installation in an old industry building happen. Enjoy this artwork!
This book is an experimental unique piece. My purpose was to create a book which represents kitsch and minimal art at the same time. The red foil can take away the red parts of the pages and emphasize the blue. I modified the original art pieces so i could use them to hide another picture or text on the page.
Works of three artists included in the book: JAMES JEAN, DAVID COOPER, MATTHIEU BESSUDO
is an artwork made by Ronit Bigal from Tel Aviv, Israel. Photography, Calligraphy and floral ornamentation were the elements comprising this exhibition. Digital photography topped with drawings in black Indian ink produces an effect of bas-relief on the body which is completely exposed. The camera explores the body, capturing different parts, discovering a world of hidden landscapes, textures, and unspoken eroticism. For the artist this was a journey of unforeseen surprise. Therefore she wraps parts of her photos with floral ornamentation and others with cited calligraphy taken from Biblical texts. They are almost abstract and enigmatic, arousing the viewer’s curiosity to discover what are the photographed objects. This project is a fantastic way of typography descibing the body. From far away the small words seem to be a textile. The communication of the naked body combined with typography says more than thousand words.
